Jessica Ewald Lindberg Memorial Scholarship

Jessica was a memeber of the Ashwaubenon Class of 2004. After graduation Jess attended and graduated from Northern Michigan University. Jessica had a love of family and friends, travel and the Green Bay Packers and all animals. Because school, especially attending NMU was an importart part of Jessica's life, her family has chosen to offer a scholarship as a way to honor her memory.

Congrats to the 2025 Jessica Ewald Lindberg Memorial Scholarship Recipient. We’re so excited to announce that this year’s scholarship goes to Ava Mehlberg! We believe she is a perfect recipient and a meaningful way to continue honoring Jess’s legacy. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this scholarship possible!

Ava | 2025

Ava will be heading to Northern Michigan University this fall. She, too, fell in love with the campus on her first visit and felt that same special connection Jess did. Ava also hopes to study abroad during her time at NMU—following in Jess’s footsteps and making the most of an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, just like Jess did when she studied in Vienna, Austria.

Jessica Ewald Lindberg Memorial Scholarship 1st Recipient | 2022

We were able to award the first Jessica Ewald Lindberg Memorial Scholarship to Giana, an Ashwaubenon High School graduating senior who is currently attending the University of Iowa. This annual scholarship will be offered to another graduate from the Class of 2023 that either attends or will attend Northern Michigan University, Jess’s alma mater.

This annual scholarship will be offered to another graduate from the Class of 2024 that either attends or will attend Northern Michigan University, Jess’s alma mater.
